They say history repeats itself, and that sure seems to be the case in the mountain bike world, at least if the resurgence of aftermarket machined and anodized parts is any indication. Oak Components are part of that revival, a small European company that got their start with replacement Magura levers. The latest addition to their lineup is SRAM compatible aluminum lever blades, which will work with Maven, Code, Guide, G2, and Level brakes.

You may have flashbacks to the mid-2000s when Dangerboy CNC'd brake levers were all the rage, but the Oak Component's Root Lever does more than just look like a sculpted stick of aluminum.
